- Virginia Surplus Lines Broker, Consultant, and Viatical Settlement Broker licenses
must be renewed by June 30, 2013. Non-renewed licenses terminate June 30, 2013.

- Public Adjuster Licensing - Article 4.1 of Chapter 18
of Title 38.2 requires licensing of public adjusters. No person shall engage in
the business of public adjusting, on or after January 1, 2013, without first applying
for and obtaining a license from the Commission, except as provided in Virginia
Code Section 38.2-1845.3. Public adjusting means investigating, negotiating, adjusting
or providing advice to an insured in relation to first party claims arising under
insurance contracts that insure real or personal property of an insured for the
purpose of effecting the settlement of a claim on behalf of the insured.
